DAWAMA : The National Failure Milestone Vs Cronyism

Printing industries seems having a bright future in Malaysia. Most printing businesses monopolized by non-bumiputera companies. Printing, Marketing and Distribution industries by bumiputera started when government boosting bumiputera entrepreneurs under its new policy which provide bumiputera companies handling printing, marketing and distribution job for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) . All this turned to reality when Dawama Sdn Bhd came to the picture. Dawama taking over all printing, marketing and distribution for DBP nationwide.

Dawama Sdn Bhd was established to take over all privatization activities of DBP which includes pre-printing, design, printing, marketing and distribution of DBP’s published materials under concession agreement documents. Dawama main task and responsibilities was to print, distribute and market school text books, magazines and Cd-Rom published by DBP. In order to carry out the task and responsibilities, Dawama upgraded their printing facilities by the purchasing of new sophisticated printing machine in order to be more efficient and competitive in local printing industries. Ministry of Education is one of their main customers.

Dawama developed a Quality Management System to show their commitment on producing high quality products and services to satisfy their entire customer. On 29th. January 2007, Dawama awarded with ISO 9001:2000 from certification body DQS Certification (M) Bhd. This is parallel with their mission statement:
1.       Dawama is a concession company related to publication, printing and distribution of reading material and multimedia product for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).
2.       Dawama main objective is to produce high quality product using latest technologies.
3.       Dawama upmost priority is to satisfy clients and always sensitive on client needs.
4.       Dawama objective to be known and certified by everybody through an efficient and extensive network of distribution.
5.       Dawama intends to achieve its mission through a strong spirit of cooperation among employees at all levels and will strive to improve and practice continuously, timelessly, transparency, integrity and professionalism.

Under country’s privatization policy, Dawama was created with purpose on increasing bumiputera equity of 30% but the existence of Dawama  failed to get the endorsement from Malaysia Association of Malays Printers (refer to Harian Metro , Monday 8th. July 2002 : DBP TUTUP REZEKI).

Dawama Sdn. Bhd established by the help of the government. Good for them and good for the benefit of all bumiputera. Out of sudden on 21st. June 2011, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka has given timeline for printing and distribution company Dawama Sdn Bhd to improve their sales and printing of books that has dropped over the past few years. DBP director-general Datuk Termuzi Abdul Aziz said since Dawama signed the contract for 12 years on September 1, 2002 to print and market reading materials published by DBP, there has been an obvious decline in printing and sales.
Prior to privatization, DBP published an average of 300 titles annually and the average number of reprints was 290 titles per year in comparison to 250 publications and 95 reprinted titles on 2011. Seen as a drop in yearly book publication, reflected by Dawama weakness on printing, marketing and taking too long time to publish and promote books as well as poor management and administration. Privatization helps to increase productivity and the quality of work by reducing bureaucracy, as well as allowing DBP to focus on its core activity of building and expanding language and literature. Failure to reach the objective of privatization is not caused by a weak privatization policy, but poor administration of the concession company.

This is just a beginning. Everybody started to know Dawama. Situation has reached a critical level where both DBP and Dawama unable to meet face to face to resolve all the outstanding issues. DBP in dilemma as it might not be able to guarantee supply of school textbooks for next school semester in August 2011. Things get worsened when DBP editors were not allowed to enter Dawama’s office to edit and conduct final checks on the books before printing. The Cold War has just begun…..It all happened after Datuk Termuzi gave Dawama a deadline to buck up on overcoming a tremendous decline on sales of DBP products over the past couple of years. Datuk Termuzi has his points. DBP has recorded losses between RM 20 million to RM 40 million every year since 2002 after Dawama taking over printing, marketing and distribution of DBP products.

Things get worsen as on 31st. July 2011, Dawami Sdn Bhd has asked all 400 of their staff to take no pay leave due to company critical financial difficulties. Dawama start blaming DBP, an agency under Education Minister for the on-going school textbooks dispute issues.

On 20th. October 2011, Dawama Sdn. Bhd suing DBP and its director-general for defamation, following claims that the latter suggested on Bernama radio programme called “Kerusi Panas” that injured their reputation through Datuk Termizi comments which suggested that the company, among other things, were mismanaged and did not perform its obligations under concession agreement signed on September 2002. Dawama is seeking general and aggravated damages as well as a public apology from the defendants. Dawama blaming DBP had forced it into a deep financial crisis by violating its printing concession.

Dawama finally break the silence. It all started since DBP decided to hire third party to publish and market its books. DBP took over the publication of the 2012 textbooks without any prior notice.

On 21st. November 2011, DBP in its statement of defence has denied defaming the publisher, saying it has legal, moral and social duties to inform the public of issues pertaining to the promotion and development of language and literature in the country. Duties were provided under Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Act 1959. DBP classified Dawama 12 years contract business is exclusives and DBP reported already paid RM650 million since the signing of the agreement on 2002.

How Dawama failed to make profit out of their so called "guaranteed income business". Since the existence of Dawama Sdn Bhd ( 2002 – 2012 ), few printing companies once seen as the proud of nation closed down and some downsized their business.

A.      Companies that closed down after the existence of Dawama Sdn. Bhd.
1.       Percetakan Print system Sdn. Bhd.
2.       Afluent Master Sdn. Bhd.
3.       Malindo Press Sdn. Bhd.
4.       Ampang Press Sdn. Bhd.
5.       Percetakan Tulis Sdn. Bhd.
6.       Zizi Press Sdn. Bhd.
7.       Percetakan Asni Sdn. Bhd.
8.       Percetakan Adabi Sdn. Bhd.
9.       Tenaga Sinar Sdn. Bhd.
10.   Percetakan Ustara Sdn. Bhd and some others…..

B.      Companies that downsized their business after the existence of Dawama Sdn. Bhd.
1.       Percetakan Inderapura Sdn. Bhd.
2.       Cepat Cetak Sdn. Bhd.
3.       Midmodal Sdn. Bhd.
4.       Harian Zulfadli Sdn. Bhd.
5.       Masadah Sdn. Bhd.
6.       Percetakan Watan Sdn. Bhd.
7.       Nur Niaga Sdn. Bhd.

Bumiputera printing companies image were badly tarnished resulted by Dawama’s performance. During end of 2010, Dawama failure has started to resurface. They failed to deliver their obligations on printing of school textbooks for Education Ministry. This failure been seeing as a joke and laughing stock by non-bumiputera printers. How in this world that a guaranteed profitability business secured by the government at projected value of RM 180mil failed to be managed by bumiputera company.

On 2011, Malay printing entrepreneurs help DBP with an open heart to complete the school textbooks on that year by very short noticed given by the government. All printing job, distribution and transportation supported by this group of peoples. DBP were grateful and thankful for their effort and support.

On 2012, printing job by DBP was given back to Dawama Sdn. Bhd. Unknown reason for such decision being made. Beyond a reasonable doubt that Dawama has clearly shown that they failed to deliver and manage the business. Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. Dawama don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every single day. The biggest question mark still lies without any explanation from either side.

Dawama continue their failure. They failed to settle all their debts with many bumiputera printing companies, distributors and transporter. They promised to pay all debt but until this day they failed to deliver their promises. They failed to deliver result to DBP. They failed to settle their debt with the supplier. They failed to uphold their own workers benefit and promising future. It all makes sense that what they are good for is no other than creating filthy rich directors.

I have a question to Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka. Why after repeating failure by failure from Dawama Sdn. Bhd., still DBP awarding an extended contract for another 10 years estimated worth annually RM 120mil. I don’t understand, and I believed neither my fellow Malaysians. Can anybody explain this to all Malaysians?

BR1M 3.0 : BN Government Set An Example on Walk The Talk

If we divine a discrepancy between a man’s words and his character, the whole impression of him becomes broken and painful. He revolts the imagination by his lack of unity, and even the good in him is hardly accepted. Prime Minister already makes an announcement for BR1M 3.0. He still delivers what he has promised to the people despite the economic situation. These are the value of a supreme leader. His dedication to help fellow Malaysian with low income is totally unquestionable.

The oppositions who clearly showing their stripes of hypocrisy shall continue barking and denied all good things and intention made under D.S. Najib administration. What makes it so plausible to assume that hypocrisy is the vice of vices except this one. Only crime and the criminal, it is true, confront us with the perplexity of radical evil, but only the hypocrite is really rotten to the core. My advice to the opposition from the American Indian Proverb, Never criticize a man until you’ve walked a mile in his moccasins. Oppositions is in the most literal sense a political animal, not merely a gregarious animal, but an animal which can individuate itself only in the midst of society. The world is a mere object to be manipulated by them.

Four categories which include one new category were introduced under new BR1M 3.0 2014:
1.       House income between RM3000 to RM4000 (New Scheme).
2.       House income RM3000 and below.
3.       Unmarried individual age 21 and above with monthly income less than RM2000.
4.       Senior citizen who lived alone age above 60.

The amount given under 2014, BR1M 3.0 increased compare with scheme 1.0 and 2.0 before. The previous 2.0 scheme for house income less than RM3000 was RM500. Under 2014 scheme 3.0, the amount RM600 with an extra amount of RM50 for i-BR1M insurance deduction. Unmarried aged 21 and above with monthly income less than RM2000 was RM250. Under 2014 scheme 3.0, the amount RM300 includes RM50 for i-BR1M insurance deduction. Senior citizen aged 60 and above was RM500. Under 2014 scheme 3.0, the amount RM600 with an extra amount of RM50 for i-BR1M insurance deduction.

There are about 17000 previous recipients from 1.0 and 2.0 rejected the own application for 3.0 by written request as they were no longer falls under 3.0 scheme requirement. Payment will be made by direct bank-in and vouchers.

There are some people who question the government on why they are not receiving the actual amount that they supposed to get and the insurance deduction shouldn’t be done. These are the same people who proudly stated before that BR1M is people’s money and there is no need to be grateful to human as all this comes from ALLAH. By concentrating on what is good in people, by appealing to their idealism and their sense of justice, and by asking them to put their faith in the future, socialist put themselves at a severe disadvantage.
These barkers are the first to queue at all ATM’s nationwide. What a world………….

ANWAR : A Chameleon, Skink, Actor, Opportunist and Preacher’s

He appear to be a saints , sinners , heroes , peoples champion , world class leader and many other words to describe him. Today he chooses to be Selangorean. What amazed me is he even wear Selangor football jersey which can never been seen elsewhere in any political scenario in this country. He normally giving his speech in political forum, gathering, seminar, etc but today he started to preach in church. That what stunt me the most. He is becoming a universal preacher. He used to preach in mosque and now expanding his wing in a church. WOW! All that he has done now with a price of becoming next Menteri Besar of Selangor?

As leader of Pakatan Rakyat by all means showing a true colour of their leaders on archiving their personal goals. Pakatan Rakyat leaders today is at the lowest and ignoble level ever. Religion and race sensitivity being played out without any feels of responsibility. All the sensitive issues which may lead to chaos and bloodshed. Being ignorance which they have to bear the responsibility on national security and the people. All they are good at is blaming the existing federal government.

Among the entire component in Pakatan Rakyat, DAP pioneered this strategy. They start to penetrate society by their cyber troopers called Red Bean Army. They are special trained IT personal that specializing in psychological war (psy-war) strategy. They are the one responsible to play race and religion sentiments in cyber world and the interesting parts is they get paid for it. Their main strategy is to attract Gen-Y and Gen-X Malaysian to be with Pakatan Rakyat. Gen-Y and end of Gen-X have something in common which is on the Assertive Communication. They use this opportunity to convince both generations. Example of an Assertive Communication is “ I have a right to be heard “ , “ I have a right to ask for what I need “ , “ I have a right to make my own choices “ and “ I have a right to say NO! “. Gen-Y are the people who born in 1981 onwards and Gen-X are the people who born in 1965 to 1980. Unlike Anwar , Lim Kit Siang , Karpal , Hadi Awang , and many others senior leader in Pakatan. They are called baby Boomers ( born in 1946 to 1964 ). Their characteristic is work centric (motivated by position, perks and prestige) , Independent , Goal Oriented , Live to work , Competitive and Wealth Preservation.

Anwar clearly can be seen having work centric ethics. Pursued by motivation with position, perks and prestige. During he preached Christians communities in a church recently, he played a character of a hero by stated his stand to defend the using of word “ALLAH” by all. That is his key word to win the heart of Christians to vote him in the upcoming PRK in Kajang. A desperate attempt made by him by all means to get what he needs. A Baby Boomers himself. The religious group National Fatwa Council clearly stated that ALLAH only can be used by Muslim and no others. He even dares to challenge Sultan and Fatwa Council on this issue. PAS blessed him for this……why am I not surprise.

When preaching in mosque, he is the defender of Allah on for Muslims. When preaching in church he is the people champion that will fight to allowing the word ALLAH to be use by Christians.  The question is, by humbling himself in a church in front of Christian’s community will lead to fusion among Malaysian? A ridiculous thought.

Anwar not necessary to preached in church if he is a true sincere leader. He seems like proving himself to DAP that he will be with them until the end. Why must Anwar taken his chance to prove this to DAP? Did DAP holds his darkest secret ever? Anwar seems like over bowing to DAP lately. This is so amazing. This is nothing like Anwar which I knew before. Have you seen DAP saying good things about Anwar before? Do you think DAP allow Anwar to become Selangor Menteri Besar?

Malaysian…….think deeply before making any decision or stand. Anwar can never be a good and true leader. He is A Skink!!! He can against his own religion just to archive his goal which no other than becoming supreme leader in this country which is his cherish dream. A dream that will never come to reality.

Anwar in a wonderland...............................................................

Chinese Professionals : Teresa Kok Confirmed Teasing the Government and Malays Society reported yesterday on Chinese Professionals press conference on the video Onederful Malaysia. Present to comment yesterday was American Psychology Society Members Dr. Wong Kok Fye, Lawyer Ryan Ng Chua Yie, Corporate Trainee Phoenix Low Kai Lay and Volunteer Activist Alex Lee Keat Lay.

Teresa Kok wasting her time criticizing the federal government by producing a video called Onederful Malaysia. She supposed to spend her valuable time to help those who in needed under her constituency. Alex Lee Ket Woon , A volunteer activist said, Teresa who also a DAP member keep on repeating giving excuses rather than helping people under her constituency especially for the social workers. The famous excuse made by DAP is they unable to help the people because they are not the federal government. The million dollar question now is, unable to help the people because of financial restrained but they able to produce this video instead. Teresa continuously barking from a distance and always keeps her tail off when at near.

Alex also said that, the production of this video showing the hatred and openly insulting top country leader and issues related to national securities. Early before, a character from this video claimed that she was holding and act as Mrs Jit from Hong Kong and not Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur. None of Hong Kong actor named as Mrs. Jit like she claimed to be. Now Teresa tarnished image of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur and yet she not admitting to it.

DAP always claim that they are people’s champion. They attended to people in need. This is the biggest lie of the century. They failed to deliver their promises. Alex always helping poor people from Kepong and Selayang. Why they didn’t approach their parliamentary representatives?

Professional members of American Psychology Society, Dr. Wong Kok Fye said, the character in the video was an act of chaff for transsexual group of society. He believed that this video contained a soft violence element that can contribute to socio-psychology to the society. Children who doesn’t have any political background, after watching this video will assume that it is ok to chaff transsexual society as it is a matter of jokes. This video won’t help to ease country social issues. It only will make worsen.

All those who present giving comments yesterday, unanimously agreed that this video are teasing top government leaders, education system in Malaysia and national security issues in Sabah. This video also insulting Malay society by the remark Teresa made “Malay Si” which means “Melayu Mati”.

It is very clear now how the professional make their assessment on this video. Teresa is the culprit and racist. She was backed up by all his party members in DAP for her action. This clearly shown that DAP = RACIST. They are trying to divide Malaysian by their issues on race and religion. Government should act now or the stability and peace that we had now will be thrown to drain by all these irresponsible person.
