Are We Ready To Become A Developed Country? PART 1

A country is deemed to be developing or developed mainly on the basis of economics, per capita income, industrialization, literacy rate, living standard, demands etc. A developed country has a highly developed economy and advanced technological infrastructure relative to other less developed nations.

I read an article, according to Kofi Annan, former Secretary of UN, " A developed country is one that allows all its citizen to enjoy a free and healthy life in a safe environment ". In common parlance, a country is deemed to be developing or developed mainly on the basis of economics, per capita income, industrialization, literacy rate, living standard etc.

According to Wikipedia, " A developed country or more developed country is a sovereign state that having a highly developed economy amd advanced technological infrastructure relative to other less developed nations. Most commonly the criteria for evaluating the degree of economic development is gross Domestic product (GDP), per capita income, level of industrialization, amount of widespread infrastructure and general standard of living. Which criteria are to be used and which countries can be classified as being developed are subjects of debate ".

Having said, are we ready to become part of a developed nation? Are we ready economically, mentally, technologically and others factor resulted from being a developed nation. As an example, in Italy income tax > 38% where by the more children you have the more tax will be on you. Their green concept where vehicle > 10 years will be a surcharge for inspection and insurance. Every year, the migration of their industrial activities to a developing or third world country as the operational cost getting higher thus contributing to higher unemployment rate. No pirated product as all original product available in the market. Yes they have a free education and health. They have a retirement benefit to all. Part of the criteria of developed nation are, low death rate as result from a good health care contributing to that, Italy now having average of 83.3 years old of age and statistically 2 working man now are paying for 1 retiree. They are struggling to lived. Almost same happening in Germany. This are only a small part of it. They are having so less of so called subsidized item in their country. No such things as 100% loan on anything eg. car, house etc. Fuel at current world price. ARE WE READY? ...........To be continued........
