Baseless Unethical Idiotic Statements by The Oppositions About Budget 2016

MP Sepang, Mohamed Hanipa through posting in Facebook by Dr. Mujahid Yusof Rawa claimed, that electricity subsidies in 2015 by RM150juta will be cut in the budget of 2016 and people will no longer enjoy electricity subsidy and electricity tariff prices will rise next year.

These were some of the allegations often perpetrated by opposition MP's. This also showing that most of them did not examined their own accusations thoroughly.

In budget 2016, Government has allocated RM124 million to subsidize electricity bills. The only different in budget 2016, the electricity bill subsidy provisions was under the provisions of MOF B11 020 500 under the heading 'Subsidies and cash assistance' totaling RM10.63billion. These are still measures and subsidy rationalization initiatives implemented by the Government in 2016.

Government will continue to provide electricity subsidies under 'subsidies and cash assistance' in Budget 2016. Therefore, the claim about no electricity subsidies in 2016 which resulted in an increase in electricity tariffs is a baseless accusation that the opposition intends to discredit the ruling party.
